I found a Johnny Guru review of the 750W Gold Strider. In his testing, the unit passed the rating just fine. The Gold one will be cooler and use draw less power, but it'll take several years to recoup the costs.

That said, if you plan on doing [email protected] or some other very intensive long duration processing then the increased efficiency will generate a greater amount of savings per day and will let you recoup costs faster.

Personally, I would go for the Gold rating as I tend to use power supplies for years and move them from build to build. I'd eventually break even on some build.

I will most likely be going crossfire in the future and want a little room to move hence 850. and thanks for the response guys I don't and probably won't do anything like Folding at home or anything intensive I think I will stick with the silver thanks for the replies
