I was just looking through newegg, and I can get an AMD 64 3700+ SD + new 939 motherboard, for 169 shipped. I currently have a 64 3000+ OC'd to 2.4GHz(754 socket). Would the upgrade be worth the money? Would I be able to tell a big difference? In say, FPS in BF2? Or just worth it in general.

Or what would be the best upgrade choice between the 180-200 dollar range?

I'd say the upgrade wouldn't be worth it unless you could get a dual core cpu

Well, what would be the best thing to do for an upgrade in the 180-200 dollar range?

Those are AM2 sockets, so unfortunately, if I got one of those, I'd also have to buy new memory, which would be out of my current price range.

So going from 3000+ s754(512KB L2 cache) 2.4GHz to a 3700+ SD s939(1MB L2 cache) ~2.8GHz or whatever I can OC it to, isn't worth the 160 bucks?

In short, not very much. Save up for Dual-Core.
