Is it worth it to switch from AMD phenom ii 820 2.8 ghz to a core i5 2400 3.1 ghz? Is overclocking as easy as amd or is everything locked?
No, we're talking about a real GPU.Originally Posted by Fred Smif 035;13116689
i already ordered another gpu 5670. I destroyed my 5570. I pulled the 5450 from one of my old systems

Something like a GTX 460 or HD 6950.
I do alot of work with digital music on my pc and some heavy video editing.Originally Posted by nizmoboy98;13116719
i had a amd phenom 820 2.8ghz with a gtx 460 . switched to the rig i have now . my amd rig could play bad company 2 fine no lag wat so ever . but wen i encode videos it took forevers. thats the reason why i switched to the rig i have now. now my encoding takes only 30min instead of alittle over 1hr with the amd rig . if your just gaming try geting a better gpu first. i could play bad company 2 max settings on my 20 inch monitor i know small screen lol. and it would never dip below 45fps. so if all you do is play games get a better gpu . if you do more than just game get the i5 or i7 k series
K thanksOriginally Posted by nizmoboy98;13116821
go with the i5 then k version if you want to oc if not get the none k . you will see a huge increase in performance on your video encoding . that graphics card is fine if you dont play max settings.
