Do you guys think its worth it to upgrade to this processor and mobo next month? I don't have SATA 6gb/s on this one and I am only limited to just 2 cards in sli/xfire. I also plan to sell my 460s and get a 6990 or a 590 with this setup. What do you think?

gaming - I reckon no.
folding - most likely, yes.

But your current rig is still awesome for folding, so unless the 3930K is extremely cheap

I wouldn't bother.

It's enough for now but I've bit the bug since I've been on this forum
Also my brother would like my mobo and cpu for his computer as an upgrade as well as the gfx cards.

And by keeping the current hardware, buy only a 3930K + mb + memory will probably cost ~ $1200 (a rough guess :s).

It's not a bad upgrade, considering the power of these babies (especially from the rig i have)

I was thinking of getting, until i saw limited unlock

This is a good read, It sounds like you will be able to overclock some. To me its either 2600K or 3930K, And the 3930K is winning for me
