Would a s939 cpu cooler fit on an AM2 mobo ?

I am going to purchase a AM2 mobo. I already have a s939 cpu cooler. Would it fit on a AM2 mobo as well ?

with the proper mounting hardware i dont see why not.

which one is it? Stock HSF? AM2 HSF fit on 939 so i dont see why not the other way around.

It's stock s939 cooler.

I used a S939 stock cooler on my AM2 rig, didn't have any problems with mounting.

Should work fine. I used a Big Typhoon on a 3700 (939) and earlier tonight read a egg review how well it worked on the new PII X4 940. The mounts are typical.
