Would my cards play nice with this?

Nice price on the new GTS 250. I'm SO tempted to buy it right now.
EVGA GTS 250

I currently have
1x EVGA 9800GTX+

1x BFG 9800GTX OC

How well would these work together??

My understanding is that the new 250's are rebranded 9800GTX+ so they should work nicely

Right?

Thats not a half bad price on a 9800GTX+/GTS 250

I dont see why it would not get along just fine. I would bet you will be able to flash the 9800gtx+ you already have to be GTS 250s as well.
hm
worth a shot I guess? Never flashed anything before. Does not mean I am not willing to do so......

Pulling the trigger as we speak.

LOL.....NVIDIA are marketing magicians............

I place my magic hat over a regular everyday 9800 GTX+, see nothing up my sleeves......say the magic words.......abra-cada-bra.......presto.....now it is a GTS 250....right before your very eyes........

Good price though........
yes,
There are some benefits to GPU continuity. As you can see in a couple of the pictures above, the GTS 250 retains the dual SLI connectors present on the 9800 GTX, and Nvidia says the GTS 250 will willingly participate in an SLI pairing alongside a GeForce 9800 GTX+ of the same memory size. Unfortunately, though, 512MB and 1GB cards will not match, and Nvidia's drivers won't treat a 1GB card as if it were a 512MB card for the sake of multi-GPU cross-compatibility, like AMD's will.

you guys dont know what you're talking about, can't you see the heatsinks are completely different! they'll never work! you can't flash off the heatsink!
So are prices going to fall more on the 9800GTXs now that the new boy is out? I have one in RMA right now, sure am getting tired of waiting for it.
