ASUS P5B Deluxe/WiFi-AP Socket T (LGA 775) Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard<br><a href="http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813131028" target="_blank">http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16813131028</a><br><br>
I ask this b/c I finally got enough cash to get most the parts I want for my PC. I am going with a Conroe E6600. BUT I was wondering if a year from now or however long it takes for games to start using quad core if I could use that same MB to upgrade to a Kentsfield.

yes, this board supports all the Pd's all the core 2 duos and it probably will support kentsfield when it comes out with a bios update, but that one im not sure about.

At this time I think it's impossible to say if it will support kentsfield. But it will work with all current LGA775 processors.

If you read the BIOS notes for the P5B you can clearly see that it supports Kentsfield. From the ASUS site:<br><br><div style="margin:20px;margin-top:5px;">
<div class="smallfont" style="margin-bottom:2px;">Quote:</div>
<table border="0" cellpadding="6" cellspacing="0" width="99%"><tr><td class="alt2" style="border:1px inset;">P5B Deluxe Beta BIOS version 0706<br>
1 Enhance CrossFire performance.<br>
2 Enable NVIDIA 7950GX2 display under crashfree mode<br>
3 Fix CPU frequency not correct when use ES CPU and lock free fuction enable<br>
4 Fix memory display message not correct under multi-language<br>
5 Add Kentsfield B3 uCode</td>
</tr></table></div>
Hope this helps
