What will you be powering? Three 280s, or two 295s?

(I don't know anything about this PSU yet)

Because Corsair isn't the only PSU manufacturer who sells good PSUs.

Well, most of them are I guess. However, they have several that are now just average.

Wow. This review made me think of the Delta unit that makes up the 1200W Antec High Current Pro.

not allways, but most of the time they have good deals, good warranty and their products are good quality, i dont know that power supply he asked for, and its a 1200 80 plus certified, not gold, not silver, not anything, i dont think it trully does 1200w

Corsair has a lot of great units... all of which are made by other manufacturers.

Sirtec is known for making some great PSUs. I'd go for it.

i did, they make thermaltake lian li etc, those brands are known for having not very good power supplies, thermaltake has awful power supplies, the only ones that are good are the thougth power, i prefer to go for a good power supply from a most known brand, how often do u change psu?? so why not just pay a little bit more and be sure?

Well either way, Corsair doesn't always have to be the first choice. There are many times where other PSUs with other brand names on them are the better choice.

For example: if you needed a 1200W PSU, then which would you rather own? The Corsair AX1200, or the 1200W Antec High Current Pro?

I just noticed that the review was written back in 2007, so I don't know. Depending on what you need to power, you can probably get a better PSU for about the same price.
