Wrong voltage?

I have my vdimm set to 1.65 in bios, but Everest and E-leet both say it's getting 1.71v - I don't think I want to give that much, or is it reading it wrong?

Derp - edit for being silly

I've found that voltages fluctuate a bit from BIOS settings, but that seems like a rather large discrepancy.

Only thing I could think would be to use a third app just to confirm.
thanks, what other apps show dimm voltage?
Everest is pretty good but unless you have a multimeter to test with i would back it down until it reports 1.65v and see if it is stable and if it is call it a day.

Have you changed any settings in the bios to give the voltage any more volts or it everything default. Perhaps you maybe overclocking?

Believe it or not, this is normal. For example, when I choose 2.15V, Everest says 2.152V. When I have 2.175V, it says 2.181V. When I have 2.05V selected, it says 2.062V.

That's just how it is, unfortunately. I think much of it depends on the motherboard and also the fact that software cannot accurately read voltages.
