Does anyone have an extra one of these they would be willing to sell? I've been wanting to upgrade to a larger monitor and am greatly intrigued by these. I would be much more comfortable buying from a fellow OCN member than from overseas.

I will also consider actual name brands like Asus, LG, Samsung, etc. depending on the price.

PM me with what you have and how much you're asking for it.

Thanks so much,
Andrew

Good luck and good choice, though you should consider keeping an eye on eBay prices too. They just keep dropping, soon they'll be under 300 including shipping.

Thanks!

I am watching ebay like a hawk. The best I've seen is $295 shipped.

The only problem is it seems a bit risky with them. I know that the majority of owner's I've seen are ecstatic about their purchase and everything was in great shape, but if someone has one they've tested and verified to work and will sell at a lower price, that sounds great to me.

Just fishing to see what is out there.

I saw one Shimian drop to $220, but didn't pull the trigger thinking something must have been wrong.
Seems it was a mistake that was rectified by the seller after 40 minutes or so (should've been $320, forgot to change 1st digit), but one person bought one in that time.

lol That would have been nice w/ my budget.

These are the three that I am looking at. Can you guys explain the differences and give me input on which would be the smartest purchase? I'm finally close to ordering after debating on them for so long.

I am thinking that buying from Red-Cap might be the best option since it says they verify them to be working monitors and have a 1 year warranty.

What do you guys think?

For a bit more I would suggest the crossover. I own both a crossover and a catleap and the build quality of the crossover is just amazing. The catleap wobbles so much. One thing the catleap has over the cross is the plugs are on the side of the back of the monitor, so they are easier to access, but every monitor I have had has been on the bottom, so if you are used to it it isnt that bit of a negative.

I am actually planning on selling my catleap and picking up a second crossover, but I dont think I could give you a competitive price with shipping from CA.

From what I've read, the tempered glass models have a tendency to have dust and other particles underneath the glass. The sheet of glass being glued onto the bezel of the monitor. Some people have had success in using compressed air to remove said particles from the surface of the glass. Ymmv of course. The "lite" models do not have the sheet of glass across the bezel.

The two monitors being sold by "redcap" include an "or best offer" option. You could always throw him an offer of $250. The worst that he can say is "no", and he might very well say yes.

If he does, you must let me know immeidately though.
