FYI, I am running a stock 7980xe on an Asrock OC Formula with a H115i Pro cooler and Seasonic Platinum 1000w. I set AVX at -3, and AVX512 at -5. It will run at 4.4/1.110v doing batch video file conversions with all cores at 100% usage and about 285w/85 deg C. The VRM setup is supposedly designed for heavy loads and seems cool enough. The Taichi XE has similar VRM power, but it doesn't have OC tools.
Jpmboy, what is the best approach to pushing speed .1 or .2 without custom cooling? I have the 115i in the top, two front PWM 140 Corsairs, a rear 150 Noctua, and a bottom 120 Noctua, in a 750D Airflow. 4.5/1.125v pushes temp to 90 under 100% usage and BS after a short while.
