There are two big pieces of news in today's revelation. First, Microsoft will apparently be including its own PDF reader in Windows 8. And second, this is the first app we've discussed that utilizes the new AppX application package type.

Now a question for our audience, will Windows 8 end up like vista?

....Our survey says.....ERRRRR

I'm sorry but yes, you have lost $300, I'm sorry.. but don't worry because you can still keep your dignity the OS is just a bonus.

Sorry was just listening to some Dubstep... Yah this is cool a built in PDF reader.

On a personal note:

I hope this OS IS Vulnerable...

I read this and thought "That's cute."

Color me unimpressed. Anything short of a 5 year cadence is too fast for major OS revisions. If Microsoft could launch a new OS without severely compromising (backwards) compatibility then go for it, but I get the impression we've got another Vista on our hands.

About time a PDF reader came standard with an OS... It seems like the most silly thing to need to install after installing the OS, because at some point, everyone who uses a computer will be required to open a PDF file...

"New features do not impress me. I'm going to avoid using this new OS for as long as possible, because that's what all the cool people do. Somebody please notice me."

"I'd rather choose shiny new features that may or may not work (mostly not, in the case of Vista) over a platform that I know is stable and works just fine for me. Please, notice my mockery of another user"
