I'm in the process of manually overclocking my video cards using ATI Tool and I was wondering if there's a limit to the amount of voltage you <i><b>should</b></i> use. I understand heat is an issue, so with the fan speeds set at 100% I'm fairly confident in my GPU and Case cooling.<br><br>
Right now I've got things set pretty much on stock, but I'm curious as to what other users may have their settings at.<br><br>
VGPU - 1.425<br>
MVDCC - 2.105<br>
MVDDQ - 2.105<br>
VDDCI - 1.501

I've got the x1950xtx.<br><br>
I've tweaked my volts a bit and they read:<br><br>
VGPU: 1.475<br>
MVDDC: 2.140<br>
MVDDQ: 2.099<br>
VDDCI: 1.379

but that's a HOT affair... LOL

my 1900 volts are at stock, im not OCing until my temps are sorted <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/tongue.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Stick out tounge caps"><br><br>

haha I'm sure it is. How do those Zalmans work for you? I'm thinking about getting those for my cards. My only concern is if they stick out further on the cards than the stock fans.

I've noticed that, at least on my card, dropping the add. voltage lowers the voltage regulator temp a lot.<br><br>
Do you always run your Vcore at 1.550?

They stick out as far as the stock fans, but need clearance to get good airflow. With a 120mm fan rigged behind them they keep my X1900's under control.<br><br>

Nay... only when I run benchies... I have no reason to overclock the cards for daily use.. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/tongue.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Stick Out Tongue">

I pushed my Vcore to 1.575 to do a max oc run with my door off and a 16" standing fan blowing on it. I got really worried when the max overclock on the core was getting lower and lower. I don't overclock it at all now, my CPU is a bottleneck at stock speeds <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/tongue.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Stick Out Tongue"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/mad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Mad">

</div>Damn. 774 is impressive. I can get it stablish at 759/850, but then my temps come up and ruin it.

I'm curious because the 1900 & 1950 are very similiar<br />
<br />
I get 40 idle and 65 load with 1.500v (100% fan speed) 729/2142

</div>I get 50 load, 35-40C idle. I'm running liquid cooling at stock speeds. On air I was getting 80C load at stock speeds, 55-60C idle.<br />

Chozart or someone tell me what is the stock voltage for the Sapphire X1900XT? I used Chozart's ATI Tool guide and now I accidentally have my stock voltage on 1.4..something. I want to set my default back to what it originally was. I think it was 1.3..something. ANyone?

I just AS5'd the core and now have 37 idle & 60 load.........sweet.<br><br>
You should see the amount of paste they stick on these cards!
