X1950 Overclocking Help

Hey, I've been trying to overclock with ATI Tray Tools and I need some help. I increased my clocks and clicked apply. Then, I tried to go into CoD4 and it crashed. Then, I tried going into the CoD WaW Beta, which also crashed. So I set the clocks to default and tried again with same results. I restarted with the new clocks loading by default and tried again; fruitless. I do have my E6400 OC'd to 3.2GHz and one of my BIOS settings is set to lock in the PCIE mhz to 100. Also, when I log in, ATI Tray Tools asks me about some overclocking setting, and I've tried both yes and no. So how do I fix this?

1. Did COD work before
2. X1950 Pro are known to be poor overclocks
3. Reset everything to stock including CPU and then see if same thing happens
4. Check GPU Temps.
5. Try different drivers.

which drivers are you running? I can usually get my old x1950 Pro around 50-100 mhz over stock

EDIT: hmm, newest drivers.. Have you tried Riva Tuner? CCC has never been of much help to me..
