what type of cores are in the x2 series, and how well do they overclock? im looking at the 4200 now and at runs at 2.2 ghz stock

The Athlon64 Models are:
Manchester: 512 L2 Cache running at 2.0, 2.2, 2.4 gHz (3800+, 4200+, 4600+)
Toledo: 1mb L2 Cache running at 2.2, 2.4, 2.6 gHz (4400+, 4800+, and FX-60)

There are Opterons:
Denmark: 1mb L2 Cache running at 1.8, 2.0, 2.2, 2.4 gHz (165, 170, 175, 180)

Honestly the opty have a better core IMHO as well as stated by many others...x2 are good O/Cs but the Opteron dual core...from my experience through a friend who has one you can get much better results with less voltages which mean less heat....read a couple more of the threads on this site as a lot of people are asking about which x2 to go with and not only myself but a couple others also say opterons.......search around for other forums to on overclocking and get a wide variety of responses and inputs on them...
