So im thinking on getting a new PC with PCI-E. I'm gonna need a new gfx card for that, so basically how much worse is the 50 dollar X550 compared to the 80 dollar X1600PRO?
I say go for a X1950. it might be a little more, but it would be really, really worth it.
since you are going pci-e, you'd be able to get another one later and crossfire them. they have the internal attachments, not the lame external crap.
I know I'm parcial to the x1950 pro because I just got one, but if you are going ati, it's the best bang for you buck, i think.
Plus the prices are only going to come down, so you should be able to pick up a second one for alot cheaper.

Yeah i jsut bought one lol. Newegg si selling x1900gts witht the x1950 cooler. Its proly the R570 core so ill just OC it to X1950 levels. Thing is they dont have the bridge, so idk how i will get that into a crossfire9 The PCB where the connect is is not cut out). whatever, ill probably buy a DX10 card at that time.
