I've got a question about my AGP GPU, I was hoping to increase the voltage to this thing to help me reach a higher clock. I trolled the forums on this and read a little about hard-modding the board, which is fine, I don't have any problem with that cause I just sucessfully hard modded my MoBo. My question is, my MoBo allows me to alter the 'AGP VDDQ voltage' from 1.50 - 1.60 - 1.70 - 1.80v, will this setting increase the voltage to the GPU the same way a hard-mod would? Currently I've got it at 1.50v, what's a safe voltage range? These are by no means small increments, especially if you want to keep the temperatures as low as possible, any advice would be great<img src="/images/smilies/thumb.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Thumb" class="inlineimg" />

Wouldn't that setting be for the AGP bus's voltage? Not the actual GPU voltage...<br />

I think that setting would only change with a higher end card which demands more voltage than your X800 is drawing... As far as I know, raising the mobo's AGP voltage won't raise your actual vid card voltage. I may be wrong though.

You will have good results at 1.55-1.6 vgpu if you have a good air cooler, its probably around 1.3-1.4 right now

Upping the agp slot voltage can fry the card

Increasing the AGP bus speed makes for a very unstable environment. Just increse the clock on the chip with AtiTools or TrayTools

Hey Mister Crowley, I checked out your guide and noticed that it was for NON PRO cards, can I still use it as a general outline for the volt-mod?

If your pcb is printed the same way it will work, but it very well may not be. (look for the voltage regulator)<br />

If you havent already, take a look at it, I thought you might have checked
