X800xt more powerful then i thought

Despite the fact that it's a old GPU, shader model 2.0 and all, it pull more power then i expected.

able to run modern games well enough.

Maybe it's been done b4 not a news i'm not sure, but it kinda surprised me.

It was always a good little powerhouse of a GPU for its time and if needs be can still perform great in some of todays applications.
Yeah, I was using a PCI-E x850xt with GDDR3 up until about last week. Powerful card indeed, I maxxed HL2: Episode 2 with 40-50 outside, and upwards of 60 inside.
I remember when the X800 and the X850 were really powerful, expensive cards


Makes you think that in 2-3 years time, the 4870 will seem pitiful in comparison to other cards.

yeah i know what u mean, 2 - 3 years ago i was dead broke for some time, was using a Pentium 2 450 based rig for the longest time ,

then i got a S750 Athlon 64 with Geforce FX5900 Ultra, and I thought yes, high end stuff , then i got back to PC hardware and such

what do u know, these parts are already obsoleted. lol.
