I had the # 71 error and wanted the E 74 error. I took apart the unit, and turned it on in hopes to overheat the GPU, etc. I powered it on with no heat sink...(no anything) for about 5 seconds and now it wont power on at all (fully rebuilt). I have an UPS label to send it for the #E 74 error (its a 2 year old system).

My questions are:
Is there way to get it to power on? (there are no blown capacitors, solders, etc)

Will Microsoft take it and honor the #E74 warranty? (the GPU looks WAY overheated and there was hardly no thermal paste)

Any help will be nice

By the rules, we are not allowed to tell you how to get errors or to purposely cause RRoD.
However, what I can do is tell you that you can still send it in.
I've sent 3-4 consoles in within the past couple years under E-74/3RRoD when they've all been random problems (RAM overheating, broken disc drive, banned, etc.) and they've all been repaired/replaced.
