I know I can hook it up to my pc screen with a convertor, but how will my speakers work? I have 5.1 creative's. And can I get an extendor for my ethernet cable, like so I can have two heads on ethernet buy plugging it into an ethernet cable, (it is 35 metres long) so I can be online and also on xbox?

It's not like you can connect an internet cable to an internet cable

You would have to get a switch (Cheapest) or another network card to your own rig (You'll need a crossover cable for this though.)

Yeah an ethernet switch can be had for like 10 bucks, and it will have like 5 ports on it, for anything you will ever need.

As for the speakers, you have to hook the sound inputs on the VGA cable into your soundcard using a RCA to headphone converter.

Something like that.

Yes you will need a Router/Switch with a Crossover RJ45 cable for it to work nicely.

Actually the VGA thing comes with an adapter now that I think about it, but it isnt a cable, it is just a piece of plastic so your monitor will have to be pretty close to your tower to be able to use it, so you could just extend the RCA cable if you wanted to.

I've been having a look but I can't find one which will work with 5.1 speakers?

And I've just thought regarding the ethernet...I don't need one as I only have one monitor

If your 5.1 SYSTEM has a built in AMP then you can get it to switch to 6ch 5.1 anyway.
I don't know about 5.1 on Xbox, and about what connections it has, so could you provide a picture of the back of it?
Thanks

I'm telling you, if it is the 5.1 that is connected to your computer, then use an RCA to headphone jack converter to plug the sound cables connected to the VGA connector into your xFi. If the speakers aren't running through your computer, than you should either be able to do the same thing through the speakers receiver, or be able to hook in the RCA cables to it.
So what you are saying is I keep my speakers plugged into my xfi and then plug in the xbox 360 with the single 3.5mm into them?.

Oh, what does "aux in" mean? Could I plug it into that?
Yes that is what you plug it into

Um about the only thing would be little RCA male-to-male connectors, but you can buy those at wal-mart or any other store for about 2 bucks, but they are very important if you want sound

Have you got a link of them?
They look like this http://www.trianglecables.com/rcacoupfemto.html but trust me, they are at any electronics store or just store with an electronics section.
I live 30 minutes to the closest electrical store and can't drive
. I will just order it off ebay thanks

Okay that works, as long as you get them. I didn't have them when I got mine (never even thought about it) and couldn't use my VGA cable for a few days.
Will the prices go down on the xbox 360 when the ps3 and wii come out (in UK). I'm just not sure whether to wait or buy it soon.
