with my project comming along on my custom desk, and family being down i finaly got a chance to sit down and talk to my doughter.

my grandson has a xbox 360, the games he plays is halo 3 and gears of war
and he has a gold account with live, and he has the head set.

my problem is i have a regular xbox, so i cannot play halo 3 or gears of war with him.
i made a deal with a fellow board member on his 360 arcade.
i have a few questions.

can i use my monster coponent cable from my xbox on the 360 arcade?
can i use my head set from the xbox on the 360 as well?

if i get a HDD what size will fit the arcade model?

and is their any thing else i need besides a gold member ship.

Headset will work, but AV cables will not. The Arcade SHOULD come with HD component cables tough.

Any of the HDD's will fit.

Silver memberships let you access live, but you cannot play games online. Only gold willallow you to play online.

Get ready for the myriad of foul mouthed prepubescents that flock to XBL... Get ready.
Arcades do not come with HD-Component cables, only regular component cables.

Any of the HDDs for Xbox 360 will fit.

Basically just either use the cables it comes with, or pick up a cheap HDMI cable or a cheap Xbox 360 VGA/HD Component cable if you need one.

If you do not have an HDTV or do not care about HD gaming, then the regular component cable will work fine.

i do have a hdtv and the pc is pluged in to the only hdmi port.
i do have 2 ports for component cables, my xbox is on one and the ps2 is on the other.
thats why i asked if i can use my monster xbox cable on the new 360.

im not worried about language, from what i found out im the only male member of my family that has an xbox and not on xbox live.
also the only one with out a 360.

i get to join my 3 son in laws, 2 grandsons, and their cousins, my place in the family clan is already set, i just have to upgrade and get on line so i can
take a few names and make some kills with the family.

Sounds good, but unfortunately the Xbox and Xbox 360 use different cables so the Monster cable for Xbox will not work with the one for Xbox 360.

Or just be like me and only use the headset when you are playing a game that requires true teamwork or when you play with people you know.

I got this for my Arcade. It comes with a 60 GB HD, network cable, headset and 3 months of live.

For not much more you can get a 120GB drive.

Yeah, but everything you get in there is not included with an Arcade.

I guess that makes sense, but I would still pay the small amount more for double the space.

Xbox live isn't hard to get, it's cheap and could do month to month and the ethernet cable you could get from monoprice for like 4 dollars.

Not a bad deal for everything that's included.
