Im opening a new topic in addition to my old one about this issue just to make it more clear.
Anyways my XFX Radeon 4770 card is not working anymore! It shows no display on both mine and my friend's PC (600W friend's PC PSU)
Warranty is not an option because my friend took it apart to apply some thermal paste. I don't know what's wrong since it's been in box and not been used for few months , now after i took it out of the box , plugged it in and i'm getting NO DISPLAY. Is it fried by any chance? What's wrong?
I've made some pictures , hopefully some expert can tell what's up with it because i'm out of ideas!
Also note on last picture , are those supposed to be opened like that? Don't remember how they were when I bought the card!

Yes, based on this picture

of another 4770 those coils should be exposed.

As to the warranty, why is it invalid? I've sent in a GTX260 that had thermal paste replaced and they honored it. XFX even authorizes heatsink replacement so long as you let them know beforehand.

I can't send it directly to XFX company because i'm not even from US or Canada , i'm from Croatia . And on their warranty it says that any damage done by the user won't be covered. So i'm thinking if my friend already opened it and put the paste on , it stopped working day after it , they're going to say no you screwed it up!
EDIT : You know that beep u get when your PC starts after u press the power button? Well that beep is gone when I plug the xfx in for some reason.... What could it be? :S
