The shop where I got my two Sapphire 5870 has finally contacted me to replace the broken cards. They are offering me 2 XFX HD5870 XXX edition cards but I have a question. On their website, the specifications for the XFX 5870 XXX cards is the following :

As one can see, that is stock and not the usual XXX edition spec one is used to having. I know about XXX cards because I have two 4890s in CFX and they are clocked higher than the average bear. Moreover, the only card which seems to be clocked in a different fashion than the rest is the Vapor-X. Unfortunately those are not in stock and my puzzlement is here : Vapor -X and XXX have the same price yet, the clocks are different. The latter has stock, whereas the first is overclocked. Is this a typo on the shop's website or the XXX is stock when it comes to the 5870?

Cheers,

Wish ...

The bold part is what matters. 850 with 4800. That is standard in every language and if you are not interested in helping, no need to waste my time or yours.

If this link is correct, http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/1GB-X...-DL-DVI-I-HDMI

the XFX 5870 XXX has 875 with 5200.

i don't know if it's stock or not but frankly i'd jump on it

after all, it's not as though you can't OC the cards to XXX, XFTW, or FTWXBBQ***************** speeds if they aren't what you think they ought to be: they could be faster or they could be stock speeds. either way you win IMO.

at this early stage it probably is a typo.

Cheers for the input. I will tell them to ship them.
