Considering selling my 5970 to upgrade to a 6990, any ideas on price, performance folks?

I would say if you want the best out there and can afford to do it with out a problem. Then go for it.

Edit I would say you would be able to get $450-$500 out of your card.

If you have transferable warranty, I would say $around $400-$450.
I sold my asus 5970 for $400 right before 69xx series release.

400 for a quick sell, since the 6990 is out, 5970's are starting to jump down to the 400-425$ price mark, they used to sell for 450-475
