hello , I have buyed a new graphic card from the internet, The 6800XT from XFX , but i have a problem with it , i have placed the card in to my pc (agp motherboard) and then connected the card to the PSU and started playing , well it plays game's fine (oblivion and such) but i noticed strange stripes in a few games , and also when i was downloading (with normal internet explorder 7.0) i get stripes(artifacts?) over the download screen, and the same thing happens with movie's , when i play a movie i get all strange stripes over the movie screen , well my question is , has somebody a clue why this is happening ?? i thought about the PSU(a weak one, it has not so much W) could that be the problem i will attach a screenshot of the download screen with the stripes , thanks

Looks like you got a bad card mate.

Edit: wait a sec, is that powered by a dell power supply? If so, that crappy power supply might be causing it.

A few things:

1. Weak PSU

2. Bad card

3. Drivers (not very likely)

I would try it in a friends rig to see if you get the same issue. If no problem then it's not the card.

So how much wattage does that dell power supply offer? And how much amps on the 12v line? It should say on the power supply itself. I'm guessing it's a 250w or so, which would be too crappy to run a decent videocard that needs an extra power connector.
