Hi Guys

I'm really frustrated. I have set the jumper to overclock mode and I am in the cell menu. I press enter on the FSB clock and nothing happens, I try + and _ and nothing happens. How do I change these settings? Its says in the manual when system clock mode is on manual....But I cannot find this option. Please please please help!

I have the EXACT same motherboard as you (by the way, your motherboard isn't stable at 1800MHz FSB either, right? Hope I'm not the only one), and to overcome this I did the following:

-Unplug Computer
-Remove CMOS Battery
-Put jumper into non-overclocking position
-Plug in computer
-Put in CMOS Battery
-Boot into BIOS, overclocking should be disabled
-Shut down
-Move jumper back into overclocking mode
-Done
.

G'luck! This has happened to me too before.

Figured it out. Even though at the bottom it says value + - its actually page up page down. I dont like the look of these settings. I mean if I have a ratio of 9 then shouldnt the fsb be something like 426 or something but at the moment its says 1333 also the voltage is showing as 0.0000 what do I choose to get 1.33 v ? so confused

You won't be able to get to 1.33v. You'll be able to get to 1.3v since the maximum you can add is .3v, and E8400 is stock at 1v.

Just use +/- (I use numpad) to add voltage (0.0000 is stock)

I'm pretty sure stock is 1.20v also when it says 1333 for fsb on the post screen it says 333x9 so does that mean if I put 1426 I wouold see 426x9 which is what i'm used to?

FSB is quad-pumped. So take 426 * 4 and it will say 1704 more than likey.

Yeah thats right I figured that it was a multiple of 4 but couldnt figure why. + rep my friend
To get those high QDRs like 1800 stable you'll prbly need to do some GTL tweaking.

Managed to wipe all my settings by pushing my overclock and I am now struggling again.

Here's what I did.

set FSB to 1704 426*4
multiplier of 9
left the ram fsb at what it set 799(however will be looking into extending this since this ram is much higher spec)

then changed the cpu voltage to +.15 not 100% sure what that would give me but i'm sure thats what it was set to before.

Changed the ram voltage to 2.20(recommended ram voltage)

Then I went into timings and tried 5-4-4-15

This did not work which is strange as it was what I was running previously(checked from pic I took)

So the only way I could then get it to work was to put timings back to auto.

This is not ideal...

Can someone help me configure this board please?

Everything set as in sig

Bump!!!!

It's been a while but I just got a new Zalman fan so i'm trying again.

Can anyone tell me what Voltage I would get if I add .15?

Does anyone know what the nb,Sb and vtt should be set to?

I had it at 1704fsb
x9 multiplier
799 ram fsb
I put the voltage to +.15
I put the vtt,sb,nb up 1 step also

Worked for a while under orthos then froze.

Heeeeeelp!!!!!
