Hi,
I'm new here and new to overclocking as well. I know my way around computers its just I haven't ventured into overclocking at all. I did read the stickies and I have a few questions regarding my videocard. Its an AGP 8X

I just ordered the card a few days ago and it arrived today. I was wondering which driver I should use if I'm planning to overclock it. Should I stick with the one the provided or download one from nVidia? Also, how high would you reccomend me going for my first overclock?

Thanks in advanced,
Download the latest driver from the website, always It's the same thing as on the disc only newer and more improved.

For your first overclock I would recommend going until you see artifacts in games and then back off about 20mhz, for both the core and mem.

BTW, I believe that card also has a chance on unlocking aditional pipelines, so you should check into that too.

Depends on which core you have. Download RivaTuner to see max OC and if you can unlock anything.

I personally use Omega Drivers. They're supposed to be faster and better, but I can't tell the difference...

Thanks for the input guys, it really helped
I just finished installing the card and driver now I'm installing Rivatuner.

My Stock Core clock is at 350 mhz, Stock Memory Clock is at 1000mhz.
The Max that Riva would let me go is 525mhz Core and 1500mhz Memory

Thanks for the great advice guys
I just overclocked the core clock by about 60mhz and i ran a 3DMark05 Test.
My score was: 3387.

EDIT: I just overclocked the Memory Clock a bit and now my score is 3550
Im watching the Hardware monitering thats built into Rivatuner and i see that there is activity on the Core Vid after i overclocked the memory clock, is this normal? should i be worried? I notice that the acitivity only appears when i did the test but after the overclock, theres constant activity.
