it run's my cpu chiller then a hot boiling potato in a cold winter night.
That means it's good.... But i have heard that it performs particularly well with dual core. I don't know if that means it's not performing well with quads, but you should look into this

It's little brother (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835233003) is no different then the Dark Knight other then aesthetics and price (Dark Knight obviously the more expensive of the two).

The Dark Knight, RS1283 and S1283 are all the same cooler just different fans and I guess mounting. My RS1283 does great with my quad, just wish you could mount it different on AMD's

Also on the extra CFM, a review site said the gains over ~60CFM were very small. So if you like quiet, then you don't need a faster fan, but if you want the absolute best and don't care about noise then go all out with the fan.
