So my regular desktop mic broke so i dug out an older mic that was broken to try and fix it. i think it was originally with an XLR connector but its missing that, so at the end there are 3 wires, Orange, Red, and Black.

So my question is can i make those 3 wires into a 3.5 mm jack of any kind?

As always help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

As far as I know, the XLR contacts correspond to TRS contacts on a 1/8 inch or 1/4 inch plug.

You should be able to identify the left, right and ground wires and connect them to the Tip Ring and Sleeve posts on the stereo jack. Pretty sure 1/8 inch jacks should have the same wiring configuration.
