I have 1866 dominators, 32gb (4x8). When I don't use the XMP profile windows shows a full 32gb ram. If I reboot into bios and select XMP, windows boots up and only shows 24GB. It's like I'm losing a whole stick. What can cause that?
Thanks for the effort to help, but I don't really see my problem covered there. Those threads are all about ram not being detected period, I only lose 8 gigs when using XMP mode. If I turn XMP off and run the sticks at 1333, it shows all 32 gig. So I don't think it's an issue with the ram or the board. I'm thinking something software related. I was hoping someone else had run into this issue. I know it's a fairly new board.
I'm gonna try turning off XMP and just OC'ing the ram manually.
