Hi guys,

I've just bought an Asus xonar DX for my Roccat Kave 5.1 headphones but the dolby function isnt working fine...

When i play videogames or movies all the sound is played in wrong position: 20 degrees at his right...

for istance... a frontal sound is played in frontal right zone, back sound in the back left zone or a right sound in the back right area...

Headphones are working fine because I tested them with a X-fi and haven't this issue...

Can someone help me??? and... apologizefor low english

Try using a pair of headphones that aren't USB as they use their own sound processing I believe.
I believe the Roccat Kave's have analogue jacks.

OP, here are some thoughts: The Xonar DX is not the best at positional audio. The game also matters for some reason. Don't ask me because I couldn't tell you why. For instance, the Xonar DX in Modern Warfare 2 is excellent. In BFBC2, not so much.

What are you channels and settings? Are they in headphone or 5.1? You may need to change and see if this helps. If it's in 5.1 try headphone. If it's in headphone try 5.1. Try swapping between 2 channel and 6 channel.

TBH, with 4 3.5 jacks it should be running 5.1/6 channel, but for headphones that sounds really weird.

I can tell you why: BFBC2 does not support any form of hardware accelerated audio, it all sounds like arse. Deep, boomy, muddy, and zero clarity. Try and force hardware audio with an x-fi and you simply get no sound at all.
