Bang for buck GEIL or Mushkin are nice. I would look at the chips that are used. The samsung TCCD are the best now but they are pricey. If possible look for some old BH5 chips.

If you want the best brand Corsair and OCZ are the best.

Budget MEM : PDP Systems Mem, 256x2 pc4000 DDR500 @ 2.6v

If money isnt an issue then OCZ, Corsair, Hyper X ( with BH5's).

The new TCCD chips actual look like they are faster the the BH5 are. Amazing it took almost a year for chips to come out that could rival the BH5.

Look for PC3200 with lower latency or 3500/3700 they are usually much cheaper then PC4000 and the chance that you get the 2600+ to 250MHz are small besides even if you do the chips in the 3500 and 3700 are the same ones most companies use in their 4000.

PS Patriot memory can be hit or miss a lot of the time.
