I see that TweaksRUs has out some new XG 96.89 Drivers for GeForce's and I'm just wondering if anyone has tried these out yet and what benefits, if any, they bring?

Yea right... The tweaked drivers, especially the XG's will get you much better OC's most of the time and improved quality tweaks

They look and perform a lot better than nVidia standard ForceWare. I have the XG 92.91's right now and I just don't know if it's worth the upgrade...

Ya but what are the changes from my orginal 93.71 drivers? Am I going to get better quality in games?
Can I roll back if I get any problems, I mean do they uninstall as well has nvidia drivers?
are they buggy, for instance, will it affect Battlefield 2142 like CTDs...

Well I believe if you visit www.tweakrus.com then it'll provide a list of improvements that some of their drivers provide. But under almost ALL circumstances, the XG's will give you better image quality in game and better overclocks. Prior to getting the XG 92.91's, my max clock was 480/1100 none-artifacting in BF2142, but with the tweaked drivers, I can go up to 488/1160 without a hitch

EDIT: Yes they uninstall just like nVidia ForceWare and you can rollback or upgrade to nVidia's newest 96.89 drivers. Make sure to use drivercleaner though between switches.

I used 91.47 drivers, and they worked perfectly for me. Just wana see if theese will be better

I wouldn't doubt at all that they will be substantially better over standard forceware, but I just don't know if it's worth the switch from my current XG's...

Also, try to OC your GPU/MEM higher with the new ones, you should get higher clocks and more stability at those clocks if the tweaks are good

I was looking at a review of different drives, and the 92.91 performed and looked best in most of the tests, it even outperformed the new 96.xx drivers.

I got a 10fps decrease with these drivers, so i will be switchin back to my old ones. Worth a try though
Thats really not bad at all, its pretty good actually. my vcard loads aat about 65c overclocked. You will have a bit of room to OC that card if 50c is your load temp. Videocards can handle much higher load temps that cpu's, typically around 80c+

Dude... 50C for a GPU is NOTHING!!! You're card's limit is 85C or so...

You should and could OC that thing to about 650core and 1700mem or more without a problem!

Basil, what exactly does the "Q" mean after the driver ID in the 96.89 review?

Does that signify that it's the tweaked driver?

It just means they have the slider set on Quality. The others i think they set to High Performance. You can change it in the nvidia control panel
