Yay I got a P180b

So I decided to dump the Armor for a P180b, the Armor is too loud and its really starting to bother me. I do have a fan controller but it seems to not be enough for me. Maybe one day I will be like Chozart, for guess no one can really mimic Chuck Norris.

Got it on Newegg, they have it for $99 after MIR. I did want a v2000b but its just not quiet enough.

I built a rig with one of those. Those cases are so nice to deal with. You'll be very happy with it.
hahaha im doing like the complete opposite, im getting rid of my P180 and getting an armor
Well my armor is for sale so PM me if interested.

Was also curious if anyone has put a fan controller in one of these? I will be replacing the fans with my TT Thunderblades red, I am selling the Sunbeam Rheobus with the Armor so I need a new one that will work with a door.

i'd buy one of those, but they don't have windows
Thats the reason why I bought it. Windows allow noise and I dont wanna anymore of that.

I'm moving out of a P180, into a Lian-Li PC-A10b....The P180 has no quality to it, the majority of parts are plastic, the tabs on the side panels are plastic and break off easily :\\ Wish they could have done that aspect better. The removable fan filters on the front, those tabs break off as well because they are yet again plastic.

Just a heads up

I dont touch my case a lot or move it a lot thats why I get these big bad cases, the armor was just too loud and I didnt feel like dropping $217 on a v2000b newegg has this case for $99 after MIR.

are your old fans dual ball bearing? Lights and flashiness are cool and all. Part of what helps keep the P180 quiet are the fans

I replaced the top one with a blue led dbb, tri cool.

Other than the top, the lights won't really show..

No there a single bearing I believe but you have to realize how open the Armor really is. I will be replacing all the fans in the Antec with my TT Thunderblades Red I think the red leak look will look very nice with this case in black. I am also still looking for a fan controller that will work with the door. If a Sunbeam Rheobus will work I will get another one....

Also thanks Burn for the heads up on that I will watch those area's still. I was going to get the B Stock one but only a 90 day warranty :/ so I spend the extra to deal with the Egg and there fantastic RMA service.

Alrighty then!

Leds in front are blue. I used a silverstone controller that was given to me, knobs stuck out to far though. Looking for a better one. I'll keep an eye out. Let me know if you find something that fits well.
Ive got a p180 now, and Ive gotta say, after stripping it down to the BARE METAL, only rivets holding it together now, I havent broken ANYTHING yet, but some of the pieces are hard to get apart.

I dremeled out some of the fan holes to decrease the noise of the fan pulling air/pushing air through those squares in the front (I had to leave some sqaures for those fan filters)

The antec is very quite case, and Im using a Tt 130mm fan, 2 of the tricools that came with it, an AC 120mm SILENT fan, and a the stock AC fan on my Acfreezer64pro, as well as setting the stock fans on my dual 6600GTs down to 80% via rivatuner, and I swear I cant hear this PC from across the room anymore, I can start noticing its presence at about 5 feet away, and sitting right next to it isnt all that bad, with the front door closed and everything done up with silicon bushings and rubber screws for all the fans, and a bit of extra sound proofing on the inside (very thin material, however)
I ditched my armor for the same reason, its so open that you hear all the fans. I looked at either the antec p180 or the lian li pca10. ended up going with the a10, but I really like the design of both cases.
Nice case. Looks like cable managment might be a bit easier in the Lian Li. Is it pretty quiet? Looks to be a bit more then the P180 though.

And people dont get me wrong I love the Armor and its a good thing for how open it is helps airflow a ton. But my room stays pretty cool all year so no worries on heat.

I'm kinda out of that phase now. I dont have any Cold Cathodes or anything just some LED fans and I wish I wouldve gotten the non led versions. I just want a pro looking sleek case.

Noo!!! Armor Club member down! MEDIC!!!!!
Lol. Anyways good luck with the new case
I don't have any noise problem with mine and I'm sitting next to it. The only thing bugging me is the buzzing noise from my generic brand PSU

Pix A.S.A.P. plz
