Yep, I have pulled the Triggar!

I've always wanted a DSLR for quite a while.. been reading a little here and little there.. I finally snapped and pull the trigger.
So with nothing to do yesterday morning, i've decided to go into best buy's and play with their DSLRs.. after what seems like 2 hours fiddling with couple of DSLRs.. I found that i like the feel of the EOS 450D better then the Nikon 3000/5000 that i was messing with. I went home yesterday.. placed the order with overnight delivery.

And here it is today ladies and gentlemen.
My newest toy

The Canon EOS Rebel XSI 450D

I've also purchased another great budget lenses to play with. The Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II. I've read the review of this lens on Dpreview. And then looked at the price.. Wasn't so steep, so it will be perfect lens for a amateur photographer like me.

Both of my lenses.
1x Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
1x Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS

The EOS 450D body itself

The lens attached

Also brought a lens filter

Sorry for the crappy photos.. i took these with my iphone

Everyone has to have a fast prime, and most of the time it's the 50mm f/1.4-1/8. Your bag is not complete without it imo.

Grats on the DSLR.... You will enjoy it a lot... My first was a XTi and sold it to buy a 40d and 20d. I had a 50mm 1.8 and sold it for the 50mm 1.4 and love it...

Just be careful not to get bitten by the L bug.. Once you go L you can't stop lolz...

Where's the Duck picture?

Knowing myself.. A simple vaccine against the L bug is not enough for me.

The only way to protect myself from the L bug is to totally eliminate all the L bugs in the world.. Which isn't going to happen.. Therefore.. It'll just be a matter of time before i get bitten

Overpriced? Maybe. Top of the line? Yes.

Nikon has better deals for older glass though, you have to buy USM pieces because that's the only thing available on the EF-S mount, right?

ONE of the only reasons that Canon has SOOOO many more lenses than us
, they always have an L version.*

It's true that Nikon glass is relatively more expensive than the Canon equivalent, but it is the top notch glass.

Adapters don't count since you lose all metering and AF (if the lens supports it).

They can meter and can have focus conformation if a chipped adapter is used. How do you think I use the Nikkor 50mm f/1.2?
