These are proposed specs for my pc. The machine will be used for running Windows XP and gaming, it needs to run Vista as well. My budget is around £800 ($1500) and I would like the pc to last me for a fair bit. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
CPU: Core 2 Duo E6300
Motherobard: Asus P5B Deluxe
RAM: G.SKILL F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ
CPU Cooling: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
PSU: Hiper 530W Black Type-R Modular

If you can recommend any better parts i am open to suggestions.
You might want to get faster ram because of the low multi on the 6300.

Either that or upgrade to a 6400.

Looking good otherwise.

Replace the Hiper PSU with something that would provide more amps on the 12v rail

Can you link me to the site you're ordering from?

If you plan on overclocking the beasts of Intel, the P5B-E seems to be the current OC'ers choice. Depending on what attributes (bells and whistles) you want on the MB, you may fair better with your current choice in MB's. Personally, I will obtain an E6600, P5B-E, OCZ PC6400 (due to systems built personally that I know these mate well with the P965 chipset), graphics card has YTD due to 1)Speed Matters, 2)HD doesn't, suggestions on card greatly appreciated. Was looking at EVGA 7900GTO, can't seem to find it anymore.

Will that PSU be sufficient though?
Could i get any better graphics for the same price as Sapphire ATI Radeon X1900 XT?

I remember one member here from the UK stating that the 7900GTO was £20 cheaper than the x1900xt? Might want to look into that

The PSU might not be enough, I'm not sure how many watts the x1900xt consumes

Maybe someone from the UK can help out?

Don't look for the rated wattage. Look for amps on the 12v rail. That PSU will handle the 1900 just fine.

Have you searched any other websites for better deals?

P5BDX > P5B-E in every way except price (duh)

I'd go with that if you can afford it. Apparently it can make a pretty big difference

That's a 460W PSU (should be enough). It only says there are dual 12v rails.
I'm stuck
