ZOMG my CPU blew up. *Pics inside*

So me and my brother made a server and we where playing on it and we noticed alot of smoke. Then a pop followed by some fire. The CPU is a E8600 core 2 duo and the board was a MSI P35 (No surprise this happened) Here are the pics. And no the Fire Dept didn't have to come I put it out myself.

Dang, that sucks man. Don't know what to say...
It was the stock HSF. I blame the board.
What exactly were you doing on it?

I wonder if Intel would accept a RMA..

Bad mobo? I have no idea. The mobo is totally gone I tossed it outside. And it was the stock vcore for that chip. It was a simple server rig.

Maybe one of the voltage regulators failed and caused a short, sending abnormal voltage throught the CPU?

Yea. With MSI anything is possible. I am not 1 bit suprised or upset really.

That is my first time seeing CPU combustion.
What PSU BTW?

It isn't the CPU... it's the mobo or PSU.
