Probably the mobo's? Doesn't know how to overclock? Fx chips are very picky. Majority of the reviews are 4.8, seems to be the norm for basic cooling, from what I have seen. Quite a few a 5ghz as well. I see a few of the reviewers just bully dogn' the overclock.

I'll have to try and remember who they write for and double check their boards.

They know... or they wouldn't be in my friends list. hmmsmiley02.gif (turns out not a reviewer, but a product manager, so... I'm not sure?)

The chips are picky? Naaaah.

That sucks for them because most are getting way past that.

You wont be disappointed, 1100t is an awesome CPU, with proper cooling you can get a solid overlclock probably between 3.8-4.1 GHZ which clock for clock will destroy the FX 8350 and match or beat 2500k. My 1055t @ 3.9 on Corsair h80 outperforms the 2500k in every possible benchmark aside from one or two where it meets the performance. AMD's foray into modules has proven a costly venture, although we can argue the merits and debate the performance no one can deny the Clustf**k AMD has become as of late in regards to management, marketing, engineering and so on. This really saddens me considering how innovative AMD has been through out the years against such a behemoth it managed to pull ahead, I believe this has all been one mishap followed by another all starting with GloFo's 32nm fab yield issues and especially the executive rampage taking place at the top. Not to say FX 8350 is not a good product, quite the contrary it is an amazing achieve given the odds against AMD at the moment, I still have faith but if Steamroller ends up being a steaming pile of bull (pun intended), AMD can kiss its enthusiast x86 segment goodbye.

Edit: Sorry for double post.

BD is picky. I couldnt get mine stable over 4ghz with multi +voltage. I was up around 1.45 just for 4.1ghz, and it wasn't really stable.

Changing tactics, I now have a 253 FSB with 17 multi, which gives me 4.3ghz at 1.36 and about 5-6 degrees less on cores.

They are definitely picky chips.
