Hmmm... sounds like another crap update, I'm currently on 12.1 because I cannot get AVIVO working with newer releases

I am no expert, but I am curious if anyone with screen tearing has checked their monitor resolution(in windows, not CCC) by right clicking on the desktop, choosing screen resolution, then advanced, then monitor. For some reason mine automatically set to 24 Hz after I installed my 7970, which caused tearing. After I changed it back to 60 Hz my issue was solved. My problem might be unique, but I thought I would mention it, just in case.

Also, my Adobe Flash somehow defaulted to hardware acceleration disabled, which caused issues with streaming HD video. Re-enabling fixed it.

I have been in constant communication with AMD's driver team. I must say they seem to be working hard, but having a lot of trouble coming up with solutions. I told them they should get on these boards and see how bad it is out here.

I hope everyone finds fixes for their problems. IMHO, 400-600 USD should buy near perfect performance without waiting six months.

You may need to do a full sweep of your old drivers first if you haven't already done so.

Dude, you have to use an eyefinity approved adapter if you're using 3 screens. If you use different connects YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY GET TEARING. AMD has a list of eyefinity approved adapters, you need 3x displayport 1.2 active adapters. If you're using HDMI and DVI mixed you're doing things wrong.

The Catalyst Control Center may experience random crashes in specific configurations.
Anyone notice how the driver size increased by 40% 92MB in 11.9 and 162MB in 12.3.
AMD added moar cores to fix the problems?

A full sweep was done but the tearing is still there. I will say that it seems to have gotten better (i.e. it happens slightly less often) but is certainly not gone.

Both display ports are using an AMD approved Mini-DP to DVI active adapter the third one is HDMI direct. The 7970 only has 2 Mini -DP ports 1 HDMI and 1 DVI how am not going to mix connections? Its also the same result using DVI direct on the third monitor. All monitors are the same model and using the same wires, also only happens in 3x1.

What says you have 12.1? It should say 12.4. Did you remove old drivers properly?
