hi guys, i was looking around, and i found a 5830 for cheap, around 120 bucks, no tax, and i was like....
anyways, i was thinking about it, then i pulled an ammeter and split the power cord from the back of my PC, careful not only get though the rubber and not touch the metal wires inside, i ran Prime 95 + and older copy of FurMark, to get maximum power, now it sucked about 400 watts from the wall, but that doesnt necessarily mean a 400W PSU is needed,
anyways i have an Ultra LSP 750W PSU, and its rated for 78% efficiency,, since im pulling 400W from the wall, do you think that my PSU can handle a second one? now if i did the math simply, it would work out to around 600W ish... from the wall, but i remember that some PSU's are rated for MAX output, not sustained output, so if my current PSU can handle crossfire 5830s than ill grab it, if not than i wont buy the second 5830
