I prefer the 90 degree rotated mobo tray on the TJ11 myself. Still, the CL is definitely one of the best cases on the market...

After i watched this video, i am convinced. Nothing matches a Case Labs Case.

I just cant afford one.

Got $800 saved for the new build so far and i'm having a hard time justifying the cost of this case.

UGH, so many decisions.

I haven't even gotten the chance to put my S5 together and I already want to get this one was just to have it.

I have my entire build all planned out. All water cooling components picked. Only thing i cannot decide on is the case. Should i take the hit and buy the SMA8 and set me back a bunch, or just go with the 750D like i planned?

Same thing with my current build, took forever to choose a Case.

Edit: Punctuation

What is your new planned build?

S8 is a good option as well.

Going with Haswell-E i7 and an EVGA board when they come (if they are out when i am ready) as i have always had good Luck with them.

Dual Samsung SSD in Raid 0

Multiple Rads Depending on the Case) with PrimoChill 3/8"id/1/2"od Hard Acrylic tubing. XSPC Photon/DG res and pump Combo.

For fans i am going to try and get ahold of some Gentle Typhoons and if i cannot get them i will go with Corsaid SP120 quiet edition for the Rads and AF120/140 for ventilation.

AX1200 Power supply so that it is future proof.

Im sure there will be a few other things as well that i pick up as i go.

The new 760T or 900D are mighty fine consolation prizes and can be had for a fraction of the cost of a CL. At least mainstream manufacturers like Corsair are now incorporating water cooling compatibility into their consumer products...

There are several case manufacturers in the water cooling game now. Corsair is one of many - which is great for the consumer, there are more choices than ever

We'll keep making them the best we know how

Yup. But the problem is this. When i see a CaseLabs case, then switch over to looking at a Corsair case, to me it is the difference between Bugatti and Ford. Case labs is so far ahead of the game it is not funny. I am thinking about picking up either a Mercury S8 if i can figure out the best way to hide the wires on 2, 360 rads in push pull in the ceiling. The other choice is the SMA8, which just might be a little out of my budget.

Been looking for wire management tips and videos for the Mercury S8 but cant find much.

I have bought two ModMyToys 6-into-1 PWM splitters (which I modified to return only one tach signal) and discovered that they do fit between the rads on both the top and the bottom but it is a tight fit. I have the extended top.

The main issue was actually the space on the top as the lid has the reinforcing bar under it. It was just fine for space until I added a DEMCiflex filter under the lid which clipped the space just too far.

The kind words are appreciated.

Here's the thing, some doesn't realize what it all means when people say something that is "expensive" is the best when there are similar, more affordable options out there. It's kind of like when someone has been using "gamer" oriented headphones, and then they pick up a good pair of headphones. People often times don't realize what a difference those pricier options can make. Same with going from rubber dome keyboards to a mechanical, or a Kia to a Ferrari.

Are there other options out there? Of course. Do they meet the quality in product and in support? Hard to say. For me, I'm a case fanatic, and just because I work for CaseLabs doesn't mean I ignore everything else out there. I've built in cases from almost every manufacturer out there, and my all time favorite cases (aside from CaseLabs) are from other manufacturers, but they all required a lot of work and modifications to get them to that point.

You do what you feel is right, what you want to spend your money on. Just don't ever "settle," not with your case or other gear, because then you'll wish you hadn't, and then you either hate what you bought and deal with it, or you spend more in the long run. If you choose us, we would appreciate it, but if you don't, we'll be here so if in the future you decide to give us try. There's a lot of options out there, and that's what makes or industry unique and amazing for the consumer!

That's probably less than what the raw materials for each case cost, so, not likely unless our economy grows through the roof.

Size is only part of the equation. There is also labor. On top of that, there is sales, marketing warranty and customer support. It's doubtful that you could ever see anything below $150 without compromising materials and/or quality. The materials alone on the S3 are well over $50, so a sub $100 case is very unlikely

Come on man, CL makes amazing cases but its not magic or anything. If they made a $50 case it would have all the compromises and issues of any other $50 case out there. The reason CL cases can be so awesome is because they don't have to worry about hitting a price point and can use the best of everything. I'd have a CL case right now if they could make a 90 degree rotated mobo tray as that is the one feature I simply can't do without after having bought my also amazing TJ11!

Buy us the patent on the 90 degree orientation and you can have one.

I figured it was patented...
