Intel Core i5/i7 CPU Batch Guide

Folks, I noticed we dont have a 2600K/2500K thread with a list of all the batches in, so ive decided to make one.

It will be similar to the i7 batch guide, but specifically just for the 2500k and 2600k chips, hopefully by submitting your information I can compile a list and that will help people to compare thier chips to everyone else's chips.

Feel free to have a browse on the chart and hopefully we'll get enough people's results submitted that it can help you to get an idea of how well your particular chip might overclock!

Please use the below form to submit your results, and I will update the main spreadsheet.

I've seen 5ghz on air! (think it was a Silver Arrow cooler?)
they are very good processors, and Intel rate them for 1.45v Vcore, so I've got some way to go (1.384v Vcore at the moment) I'm hoping to get 5ghz-5.2ghz, just waiting till I get my new fans to get my temps abit lower, if that doesn't work as much as I hope I'll be switching to a XSPC RASA kit

just keep an eye on your temps, I'm trying to keep mine below 75c load, highest I've seen is 76c running Prime95 for an hour

The batch number is printed on the exterior of the box if you buy a retail box version of the processor. If you buy an OEM chip it may not be.

The batch number is also imprinted on the chip itself.

Here is an extensive thread at XS that lists batch numbers and OC results. The TS made no effort to collate the results (unfortunately).

Not done yet, but I'm at 4.6Ghz on 1.30v with water on an MSI P67A-GD65 so far. Strange batch number though it's 3101A103.

Anyhow it's been so long since overclocking, I'm going to spend some time going up little by little. I've heard a few people say the instabilities show up more in games than stress testing like prime95. Spent some quality battlefield time this evening making sure...yep 4.6@1.30V is good..

Stock intel sink sucks as you would expect. I was hitting 80C at only 3.4Ghz. Now using an old hacked up modified waterblock on a quad rad and overclock to 4.6, I'm hitting upper 50s, lower 60s with 24-25C ambients.

Anyhow, still working on it, but it made it to 4.6 without any extra voltage, just water...

joel you cpu will underclock while idle if you have c1e and intel speedstep enabled AFAIK, certainly with X58 mobos anyway, you need to disable these.

Keep the submissions coming folks!

Im aware of that other thread, I wasnt able to find one earlier before making this thread, I noticed an i7 batch guide, but not one specifically for 2500/600k, I thought id make one so its easier to find.
