The PSU fan turns on? And you have the CPU power cable plugged in?

 

Regarding what I'm about to say, I've done it more times than I want to admit: is the CPU's power cable plugged in?

Have you checked that you did'nt accidently cause something to come loose during installation?Double check your RAM seating and GPU's.If still not working try the other PSU you were using,if it works with that one i'd RMA the corsair.PSU's rarely arrive DOA though.

Also check your using the right connector for mobo and graphics as they can look the same if both 8-pins.

 

i used my previous psu.Gpu 24 pin 8pin +2x 6-pin worked fine. Now reconnected the corsair, and it is still not working. RMA?

 

Have you tried jump starting the PSU with it not plugged into the rest of the computer at all? See if it will even start up with fans and everything. Then put it back in the comp, do one cable at a time and retry. If it still won't work and every other component is installed, quite possibly RMA.

 

It opens correctly, PSU fan works, every fan works, cables ARE connected properly. It is probably a faulty unit.

 

If the 24-pin motherboard plug is connected properly, you should be seeing LEDs lighting up on your motherboard.

If you don't, you've got a bad PSU.

 

My motherboard has no light on it. Even when it worked properly with the other PSU, no lights was lightning up.

 

Some motherboards have no LEDs on them.

That shouldn't be a PSU error, sounds to me like something is plugged up right.

So on the other PSU your CPU/Case fans run but on the new one they don't.. nothing happens?

I'd say, connect the PSU to a single fan and the motherboard and nothing else - see if that works.

It could be a lot of things keeping you from posting, such as an incorrectly positioned 8-pin CPU connector, but the system should beep accordingly.

 

Yes we already know that. I will probably return the PSU tomorrow.

 

Power supplies don't turn on out of a case and work fine, but the second you put it in a case and plug it up, decide to not work. If the power supply works, it works. Something isn't plugged up correctly somewhere.

OK, PSU works fine with two other computers. I rebuilt my computer, no luck. I'm now testing each component on another computer.
Could it be anything else?

 

Again, my CPU now is on another motherboard. It seems to post (beeps normally), but still no signal. The odd thing is that yesterday, thw ehole computer opened normally and entered the bios. What is that anyway?

 

You're using the same video card and everything? You might pop the CMOS battery out to reset it...

So, a different PSU in your failing system fixes the problem.

And your PSU that was failing works fine in other systems.
I do not understand the conflicting results.

 

I just got a new Antec psu last week and the 24pin connector was a real bear to plug in. It felt like I was going to crack the motherboard trying to get it to seat fully. I cut a small piece of a block style pencil eraser and trimmed it to just slip between the 24pin connector on the mobo and the mobo tray to make it more solid and was finally able to plug it in completely so the computer would fire up. Don't know why this psu's connector was so tight. I know it isn't the mobo as it's 4 years old and has had numerous psu's plugged into it over the years. You might consider trying something like that.

 

Now there is another problem
First,Computer starts without pressing the start button by the time i connect the cable to the psu!
Second,Computer starts but after 3-5 seconds it turns off whatever I try
Third,Monitor can not take signal from pc

What are the reasons of all these?
