Its kinda nice for me though, I just reinstalled on Tuesday and got to skip all the updating hassle by going straight to SP1

 

When did it get released?

I just did a reinstall of windows and downloaded 57 crucial updates........

Final got released today I think... or was it two days ago? Anyway, its pretty fresh.

Hope I dont ruin my system now by deinstalling it. AHHHH!

A few of my important programs won't load, how do I deinstall?

 

maybe your antivirus messed around with the install? seeing as its updating almost every system file the av probably didnt like it

 

Mine works fine.

Had it turned off during the update... maybe I should have uninstalled it before. Anyway, when downloading something from the official Windows Update page I expect this to be suitable for my system. If I had to make any preparations prior to it, I would expect them to tell me.

The only issue I had when I went to install this service pack was using the Windows Update. When I downloaded it from their website and ran the installer, it worked perfectly. All I had to do was restart my machine and worked like a charm. Sorry to see you are having so many errors :/

 

Hmmmm I don't think that I got it. And if it's glitchy I think I'll let it pass for awhile before I do get it or at least wait for the next one.

I guess I got lucky.
I installed the sp1 update on 2 desktops and 1 laptop with no problems.

 

installed a few days ago......no issues here

 

No problems here either.

 

Installed it before I went out tonight, I expected to leave it whilst I went out, but it installed in about 5 minutes, restarted, job done. No issues here.

My bootup and shutdown times have decreased by a few seconds too, which is nice.

 

Installed it Tuesday and its been business as normal.

 

No problems installing/running SP1 here either.

 

been awhile since i've done a sp update, do i have to go hunting for the thing, cause it is not showing up as a "update" in the update manager...i click check for updates, and it says "no updates available", i know it didn't installed, cause i have automatic updates disabled, only to notify me when they are available...

In the past week I've installed it on my own sig rig with Windows 7 Ultimate x64, a laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate x86 and 2 netbooks with Windows 7 Starter x86. So far I've has no issues whatsoever, it's all working like a charm.
