Universe 35's game play is five times the normal rate. I recently got back into it due to the faster pace game play. Building production time and resource production is a faster. Server's two years old, but there's still players.

 

Just joined Universe 8. Is there a way to transfer or switch Universes?

 

I'd love to play it, but anything with paid options that gives you an edge kind of turns me off.

 

I just restarted on Universe 35.

I know what you mean. =/ But I don't feel like the paid players would gain superiority advantages over free players.

And as for your universe 8 account, you can leave that alone. Within three months of inactivity, your account should be deleted. At least that is what they did a couple of years ago.

A buddy of mine and his dad got into a fight ending up with them not talking for 4 days over Ogame

If you click Resources, you see a calculated list of your metal, crystal and deuterium each hour, day and week. You use these resources to build your empire by upgrading buildings, research and ships to attack other players.

What you should aim for now is to complete the requirements to build Colony Ships. Click Technology on the left and find Colony Ships. Next to it are the requirements you need to build before you can build that specific thing. Red means you do not have it and green mean you do. Colony ships allows you to build another planet in the galaxy system. You can build more resource factories to build more things. You can have up to 8 colonies max, excluding Homeworld.

I made another account and joined 43.

Been playing it slightly on and off all day.. pretty kewl!
Now just need to figure out what the hell Im doing..

 

I used to play ogame back in August and got into it hardcore for a couple weeks, but after being completely obliterated by some random a-hole for no apparent reason who was about 100 times more powerful than I really just ticked me off and I quit. Competitive gameplay like that does not interest me one bit, especially when one is at a huge disadvantage and can do nothing about it.

Ogame implanted a protection system now. Superior players cannot attack players who are weak, only those within their ranking range. I'm not sure of the range though. It's called Noob Protection. XD
