The question is...
Can they stand up to the likes of Bose?

The question is...Aiming to cater to the jet-setting business crowd, the company is classing things up with its (finally released) $300 Executive noise-cancelling over-ears. The design of the headphones seems to be a blend of the Mixr and classic Studios, wrapped in brushed aluminum that's complimented by dark gray leather pads and the requisite "b" on each earcup. Requiring two AAA batteries for power, these active cans (read: they don't work passively) are rated to last up to a healthy 25 hours.
The Active noise-cancellation functionality is aided along by two microphones inside the headphones that automatically adjust the effect depending on your surroundings. That said, we'd be remiss not to note that ANC is always enabled, as it's tethered to the power -- you know, to help avoid making your head ring from the likes of jet engines and subway cars.

What do you have against mad dope neck speakers?
Until better brands with better quality start marketting better and get some big name music stars backing, then yes.
I loled so hard! I think I have a new signature!Originally Posted by shlunky

Talk about paying for a name. I walk around campus and see people with the $100 Beats headphones attached to their phone and just laugh.
For $300, these headphones better lick my ears and tickle my balls....

The college i went, nearly almost everyone had Beats Audio headphone, everytime i look at them, i shakes my head XD
At what point did Bose become good at making portable audio products? Or was this sarcasm to say that these are worse than bad?
well, i agree. i think that the QC15 makes it feel like it has good audio, does that with canceling all the noise. they give the same amount of bass and the vocals are nearly the same.Originally Posted by Monstrous

I don't like that these are active only, I think if people knew what that meant they'd steer clear. Leather isn't a good idea for the pads either, would end up sweaty and uncomfortable I reckon.
Most laymen don't understand why people spend a lot of money on high end equipment in any field.
There's one exception there. The Creative Fatal1ty headset (non-usb one) is absolutely amazing for ÂŁ25. As in, better than AKG-450 level of amazing.
You haven't heard good headphones
Audio Technica M50. Below $200 I stand by AT. At a similar price level Sennheiser HD555s are great, and V-MODA Crossfade LPs.
It depends if you want in-ears, large over ears or ones which sit flat against the ear?
Implying that means anything.
