I can't get my second monitor higher than 640x480 resolution

I've bought my second monitor (ASUS VH208D) a few days ago, and I've just set it to extended display at 1600x900.
Today I was f*cking around with the settings AMD Vision Control Settings and now the monitor crashes if I try to change something.

My graphics card is the 6990.

Can anyone please help me?

Thanks, but I don't think it's a driver issue, the screen just crashed when I changed something in catalyst at eyefinity options and after the crash it won't go back to 1600x900

The message looks the same as this one in the OP: http://www.overclock.net/t/1200392/help-i-broke-my-eyefinity#post_16197485

You are not very specific in OP if your are trying to setup 3 monitors or just 2.

6990 shipped with one MiniDP to DVI Single Link Active Adapter. If that one is broken, then get this;

Accell Mini DP - DVI-D Apdater

I have updated my drivers to that version. I will try a new adapter right now.

It works! The adapter was broke. Thank you Ken1649!

What I don't understand is how it suddenly stopped working.
