I already jailbroken my PS3 with the other CFW that was released here

I wonder if there is any direct differences. What does he mean by "old homebrew"

That was 3.41fw only. This is 3.55 and he means you will be able to resign old homebrew on the npdrm level with future tools he will be releasing.

The reverse argument to this is that it [supposedly] cannot be patched, due to the algorithm being nonrandom. I have a feeling we won't see anything from Sony until some of the homebrew apps are re-signed.

Not yet.

And instructions on how to install the CFW? Simple - put it on a memory stick under /PS3/UPDATE/ folders (so folder PS3 -> folder UPDATE).
Then, hold down your PS3 power button until it turns on and then off. Release, and then hold down the power button again until it turns back on followed by 2 quick beeps back-to-back. You'll be in recovery mode. Choose update system software or w/e with the memory stick attached.

So if it's jailbroken... What can you actually do with your ps3? I'm curious as I have a ps3 myself

No interesting in Jailbreaking my PS3, no points atm, almost all the game is crappy except for few exclusive, and no way gonna be downloading 7GB to 50GB of a game

I don't mind jailbreaking PS3 for other usage, but i'm against the side effect of it with piracy, next thing we know Sony gonna restrict so many stuff, we don't "own" it anymore

But i don't mind that Jailbreaking the PS3 to unlock those limiation and unsupport video file due to those restriction, and also allow software to be installed in the PS3 to allow play any format of video/mp3

Nothing.

Yet.

I'm still not sure about jailbreaking my PS3 yet or not.

I guess I'll wait to see sony reaction and what can be done with the homebrew software.
