I looked up on notebookreview forums that someone overclocked the 6770m to 850/950 but I'm curious about the memory speed because on notebook check the 6770m is listed as having a memory speed of *1600mhz.

* The specified clock rates are only guidelines for the manufacturer and can be altered by them.

Also how does the Radeon HD 6770m stack up with the Nvidia GT 540m?

The 1600 Mhz is dual channel so just divide by 2.

I just got my DV6T with a 6770m and it is amazing

According to notebookcheck a 6750 murders a GT 540m so a 6770m which is 125mhz faster compares to a 5850

Edit: My Dv6T connected to a 1920x1080 monitor, Vantage run at 1280x1024

My brother's DV6T select edition with an i5-2410M and HD 6770M gets into the 60C's for CPU, and into the 90C+ range for GPU after hours of BF3 playing. The important thing is to keep having good air flow, having the laptop elevated with a cooling fan is the best thing you can do for it. Expect even higher temperatures when OC'd.

Wow those temps on the CPU are fantastic, you sure you do not mean 60 on the GPU and 90 on the CPU? After hours of BF3 on this laptop, I am around 83C on the CPU and 71C on the GPU. The 555M is very comparable to the 6770m at least by 3dMark benchies.

Haha unless Speccy is lying to me, those are the typical temps under load. Though I should clarify, his cooling mat has two large high CFM fans, one blowing directly into the CPU fan, and the other near/around the RAM.

hey wildcard,so u r getting these 83 cpu n 70 gpu temp at which mode coolsense or performance mode?? And do u use cool pad??

I do not have a DV6t, sorry for confusion. I was curious about temps as I have same CPU. I will need to try getting better fans for my Notepal U2, the stock ones are quiet, but barely do much.

I think the 6770m would probably be a little more powerful then a gt 550m.

6770m is much slower then a 5850m let alone a 5850...

I have 7080Pts of graphic score with Vantage and 1658Pts of graphic score with 3Dmark11.
My 6770m has a clock of 890MHz and 950MHz for the memory (+165MHz, +150MHz).
near to the 5870 and more than the 5870m even more than the 6870m or 460m.
