What is the stock voltage for a i7 2600K?

I finally got 4.5ghz stable with 1.2750 volts, so now trying to find out highest overclock I can get with stock voltage, but I can't find anyplace anywhere that has the stock voltage listed

All I get out of Google when typing in "2600K Stock voltage" is people asking how high they can overclock with the stock cooler

I know that if I leave my voltage on Auto in the BIOS, it shows as 1.2v in the BIOS monitoring tab. I have no idea what it is when I'm up and running, though. I can't get lm-sensors to tell me...
 
sometimes at 1.1 to 1.3 so i am sooo confused about stock voltage

To get stock voltage:

Disable all C states in BIOS. Use whatever overclock you want. Use a fixed multiplier, though.
Run realtemp 3.67. Click "Disable Turbo", this will put your clocks at 3.4 ghz, regardless of what you have set in BIOS. Click the top right toggle button and you will see the default VID.

Nice chip btw. I got prime stable at 4.5 ghz with 1.260v load vcore on my 2600k, 12 hours (3 times in a row), 1.290v set in BIOS with LLC1.

The "stock" voltage is the default VID (what is shown in the BIOS at a certain multiplier, which is what "Auto/DVID" would use as a target voltage. This voltage varies from CPU to CPU, from the factory.

What you see in the BIOS MONITORING TAB is **NOT** the stock voltage !!!! That's the voltage after vdroop and that is using your current set voltage, anyway, not the "default" VID....since vdroop goes into effect in monitoring....

Yeah now I am doing stock voltage overclocking

Right now I got 4.2Ghz with 1.225 volts and that's it other then various BIOS settings like VLDrop settings etc

Crashed randomly after 12 hours of idle, while it was stable for 8 hours of Linpack

I just did more reading on this subject

Asus says the stock voltage on 2600K's is anywhere between 1.240 and 1.260 volts

Also, do you think I am silly by not heavily overclocking my CPU given I have a 2600K and a P67 Sabertooth?
 
You may have to really give the chip some voltage if you want 5Ghz or over.
I am sure you have heard that not all chips are all the same.

I was hoping for a 5Ghz chip but i seem to be stuck at 4.5Ghz. i did bother me as my mates had 4.7Ghz and 5Ghz but at the end of the day 4.5Ghz is really very good.

What voltage and temps are you getting for your 2600K at 4.5ghz?

With 1.280 volts I was getting 4.5ghz, but 72C tops

Turns out I had a bad heatsink application (Took it off, two big massive dead spots but center 40% had contact) so reapplied paste, temps are down 5C but still unsure, I was getting 61C with 4.2ghz 1.225 volts, but since putting on the heatsink again I got 55C with 4.2ghz 1.225 volts, but eventually was idle unstable (I hate how these chips work) and crashed
 
I, too, am confused about this. The VCORE voltage on my Sabertooth P67 goes up to 1.31 at full load

VIN6 goes up to 1.9. No OC, all stock. Halp. Plus, at full load I'm getting 58Âşc on my H70... :S Person above me gets 55 on air? wut?
 
In my case I had to put the offset option on minus (-) instead of plus(+) ! I tested an offset voltage of -0.12 and under load max voltage was 1.2v ! mine would have jump to 1.32 on defult !!
